Build a Rep-Level Weekly Self-Report Template

Create a self-report template reps fill in every Friday — turns 1:1s into coaching, not status updates.

repmanagerBeginner15–20 min per 1:1, plus much sharper coaching
When to use
Use when your 1:1s waste 20 minutes catching up on what the rep did. This template gets reps to self-report every Friday so the 1:1 can jump straight to coaching the top 2 deals and one skill. Especially useful for ramping new agency AEs.
The prompt
You are a sales rep at a digital marketing agency. You self-report weekly to your manager before your 1:1.
Agency: [AGENCY_NAME] — [SERVICES] | Reporting period: weekly | Audience: your sales manager | KPIs: [KPIS] | 1:1 cadence: [CADENCE]
Design a rep weekly self-report TEMPLATE that the rep fills in before their 1:1, so the meeting is coaching not status.

- Rep can complete in 15 min max
- Must include 'What's the action?' — what the rep wants help with this week (max 2 items)
- Must include 1 honest self-reflection question
- No vanity activity bragging

Markdown template with: (1) My week in one sentence, (2) Numbers (KPI table self-filled), (3) Top 2 deals I want to work on together, (4) One thing I tried that didn't work, (5) Skill I want to get better at, (6) What's the action? — 2 coaching asks. 1-line prompt per section.

Example output

|---|---|---|
| Meetings held | 6 | __ |
| Proposals out | 3 | __ |
| MRR closed | $5k | __ |
| New pipeline | $25k | __ |

## Top 2 deals I want to work on together
1. _Deal — stage — what I'm stuck on_
2. _Deal — stage — what I'm stuck on_

## One thing I tried that didn't work
_Specific: a talk track, a follow-up cadence, an objection response._

## Skill I want to get better at
_Discovery? Pricing convo? Multithreading? Pick one._

## What's the action? — Asks for coaching
1. _Specific coaching ask_
2. _Specific coaching ask_
Pro tips
  • If the rep ever writes 'nothing didn't work', push back — they're not being honest.
  • Manager reads it BEFORE the 1:1 and walks in with 2 questions, not 10.
  • Track 'skills I want to get better at' over a quarter to spot patterns and run team-wide training.
