Create a LinkedIn Voice-Note Cold Outreach Script
Write a 60-second LinkedIn voice note script that feels personal, references the prospect's profile, and asks a low-friction next step.
repfounderIntermediate⏱ 20–30 min per voice note
When to use
Use when you've connected with a prospect on LinkedIn and your DMs are getting ignored. Voice notes have 3–5x reply rates over text DMs when done right — but only if you have a script that doesn't sound like a pitch.
The prompt
You are a senior agency founder who has booked 50+ meetings off LinkedIn voice notes. You know voice DMs convert when they feel like a one-off, not a template.
Agency: [AGENCY_NAME] | Services: [SERVICES] | Sender: [SENDER_NAME], [SENDER_TITLE] | Prospect: [PROSPECT_NAME], [PROSPECT_TITLE] at [PROSPECT_COMPANY] | Prospect's recent LinkedIn activity: [RECENT_ACTIVITY] | Mutual context (if any): [MUTUAL_CONTEXT] | Specific observation about their business: [OBSERVATION]
Write a 60-second LinkedIn voice-note script (~150 words) with 4 beats: (1) name + why you're DMing them specifically — reference [RECENT_ACTIVITY], (2) the [OBSERVATION] you made about [PROSPECT_COMPANY], (3) what you'd do about it in one sentence, (4) low-friction ask ("reply if interested" — NOT "book a call"). Include verbal cues like (pause) or (slower here) for delivery.
- 60 seconds MAX (150 words)
- Must sound like a one-off, not a template
- No "hope you're well" or "saw your profile"
- The ask must be a reply, NOT a calendar link in the same DM
- Tone: warm, curious, founder-to-founder energy
- Reference [RECENT_ACTIVITY] in the first 10 seconds
## VOICE NOTE SCRIPT (~60 sec)

## FOLLOW-UP TEXT DM TO SEND ALONGSIDE (≤25 words)

Example input
Agency: Northbeam Growth | SEO + paid search | Sender: Alex Park, Founder | Prospect: David Liu, VP Marketing at LumenCRM | Recent activity: posted last Tuesday about AI overviews tanking their organic CTR | Mutual: both attended SaaStr 2025 | Observation: their /pricing page has zero schema markup and is being summarized incorrectly in AI overviews
Example output
## VOICE NOTE SCRIPT (~58 sec) [warm, slower pace] "Hey David — Alex Park, founder at Northbeam. (pause) Saw your post last Tuesday about AI overviews eating your organic CTR — actually nodded along, that's what we're hearing from every SaaS marketing leader right now. (slower here) Quick reason I'm DMing: I pulled up LumenCRM's pricing page after I read it, and noticed there's zero schema markup on it. AI overviews are pulling a competitor's pricing in your branded queries — which means you're feeding leads to them. (pause) If I were you, I'd ship Product + FAQ schema this week and you'd probably reclaim the AI overview spot in 2–3 weeks. Not pitching anything — happy to send the 3 schema blocks if useful. Reply 'send it' and I'll DM them over." ## FOLLOW-UP TEXT DM (22 words) "Voice note above might be easier than reading — but TL;DR: your pricing page is missing schema and AI overviews are giving it to a competitor." ## DELIVERY TIPS - Record sitting up, smile slightly — it changes your voice - Re-record if you say "um" more than twice - Send during prospect's local 8–10am window
Pro tips
- Always pair the VN with a text TL;DR — some people don't have headphones in
- The ask should require <10 seconds of effort from the prospect ("reply 'send it'")
- Don't include a calendar link in the same DM — that's the second touch, not the first
